What is the Equelia Foundation?

The Equelia Foundation is a Foundation deprived without spirit of profit constituted by the will of its founders.

What aims persecute?

The main purpose of the Foundation is the promotion of Spain as destiny of vacacional tourism of equestrian character. It stops to secure the persecuted aim, the Foundation undertakes its activities on the different positions from the market. On the one hand, from the point of view of the supply, to coordinate to different private agents that in power they constitute the supply of a certain zone (airline companies, equestrian hotels, centers, sport guides, centers and of leisure, cultural, producing centers of crafts and native products, etc.), with the intention of designing and creating attractive tourist products for this segment of market. On the other hand, from the optics of the demand, to act of form specific on the emitting markets and, in particular, on specialized actors, showing the qualities of products defined in the previous point. Finally, in the section of the equestrian tourist promotion, collaborating closely with the different organisms public, or from the aspect strictly of tourist promotion, like from the one of the necessary adjustment of the natural spaces for the sustainable development of the model. Insofar as the Foundation advances in the attainment of their main purpose, other outstanding purposes in their original letter will be reached of direct form, related to the binomial horse - society, as they are the improvement of the visibility of the horse in the society, and not only in the sport scope, the appearance of new jobs of quality, non-seasonal, and the impulse of the economic activity generally in the territory of action of the Foundation. The appearance of new sustainable tourist models for environment, fomenting the preservation, improves and well-taken care of natural surroundings, and to promote the culture ligatures to the same development of the main purpose are without a doubt other purposes intimately. In parallel to the purpose of promotion of the tourist activity, from its constitution and of high-priority form, the Foundation establishes as social purposes the promotion and the support to the integration of the disabled ones in the scope of the equestrian world, or with respect to its practice like the labor insertion. It at the same time establishes like purpose the diffusion and the support of the use of the horse with therapeutic purposes, as well as the sport sponsorship to disabled and the impulse of the welfare area to families and riders who have suffered accidents in the course of some sport competition.

How it operates?

The Foundation develops its activities by means of programs independent of work, developing next to each program of tourist-cultural promotion another one of social-welfare character. The Foundation, in as much does not accede to originating income of public administrations, have designed a specific program of pick up of income, necessary for the development of their activities, having oriented their action to the private donations directly related to the beneficiaries of the activities of tourist promotion. The Foundation trusts obtaining by this means the resources necessary for the development of its activities of organization and promotion and, on the other hand, resources that revert in the society from the social-welfare aspect. At present the Foundation is making the design of his two first programs of work: a) The creation of an attractive tourist package, within sector of the equestrian tourism, in the South zone of Menorca for season of autumn 2009/spring 2010 directed primarily to the Anglo-Saxon market. b) The creation in collaboration with the Vidalba Foundation (Menorca) of a program of sponsorship for the practice of riding with therapeutic aims. 4. How to collaborate with the Foundation? To collaborate with the Foundation is very simple. Shortly we will publish in ours website www.equelia.org the different ones possibilities. We need not only bottoms but also of loving people of the world of the horse; worried about nature and by the culture, implied by the improvement of our surroundings from all slopes. In the Foundation we have the firm conviction that we can to reach of simultaneous form two objectives that most of the times seem to be contradictory: we can improve the sector economic - by means of the tourist action - and simultaneously to secure to more amiable surroundings and a total contact with the nature.
