
Menorca ( also known as Minorca) has a coastline full of many beautiful beaches and coves, it actually has more beaches than Mallorca and Ibiza combined. There is a place for everyone whether it be to relax and soak up the sun or get active with watersports. There are beaches with caves, huge deserted beaches, or beaches with watersports, restaurants, sun loungers and pedalos. The waters around Menorca are amongst the cleanest in the Mediterranean and safe to explore.
Son Bou beach is the longest beach in Menorca, it is very popular with tourists, and located around 8km south from Alaior in the tourist town of Son Bou. It is home to a large stretch of white sand and beautiful crystal clear water. There are bars located along the beach for snacks and refreshments and facilities such as banana boats, pedalos and sun loungers for hire.
Punta Prima beach has fine white sand to one side and rocks to its other. It can be found near to Sant Luis, its facilities include pedalos, windsurfing, and sailing equipment for hire. There are also restaurants and shops nearby to explore also.
Es Grau beach is a sandy beach surrounded by sand dunes and pine trees with a fresh water lake. It is situated on the national park within a quiet fishing village. There are restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance.
Arenal Den Castell beach is a horseshoe bay and its shallow waters make the beach perfect for young children paddling, it has beach bars, water sports, shops, and a supermarket nearby. While you are in Arenal take a chance to visit Bar 51, Arenals irish bar which overlooks the bay of Arenal, late night opening and traditional entertainment. Or why not visit Jambaree in coves noves on the road down to Arenal, an english run family bar with entertainment and fun for all! We reccommend that you visit the Japi bar or Bar/Restaurant Flamingo for a bite to eat.
Cala Galdana beach nick-named the Queen of the Calas can be found on the south coast 11km from Ferreries. It is a beautiful spot, with water sports, beach bars, and restaurants. It is a stunning horseshoe bay and is perfect for snorkeling.
Cala en Blanes beach is a little sandy beach situated at one end of a narrow bay in the south of the island.
Cala en Bosch beach is a wide sandy beach located in the popular tourist resort on the south-west tip of Menorca.
Cala'n Porter beach located within a tourist resort just south of the airport with water sports, beach bars, sunbeds, and handy parking at the side of the beach. While you are in Cala'n Porter why not visit O'braves irish bar, a family bar complete with a pool and terrace. Or Bar La Salamandra for a meal, a quiet drink or to dance the night away until 5am with their resident DJ.
Sant Tomas beach is a long narrow beach with white fine sand surrounded by hills. There are beach bars, water sports and handy parking.
Cala Mitjana beach is a breathtaking quiet cove, located down a small winding forest road off the main road from Ferreries to Cala Galdana. There are parking facilities and toilet facilities as well as picnic benches in the woodlands nearby. Its crystal waters are not to be missed!
Cala Macarella beach is a picturesque pine edged cove. There are sun beds for hire and a couple of beach bars. To get here take the outer ring road at Cuitadella.
Arenal de Son Saura beach is a picturesque sheltered bay with white fine sand, there are no facilities except parking, and just pure tranquility. To get here follow the signs from the southern ring road at Cuitadella, you go through a few gates to get to the beach through woodlands on foot.
Cala Pregonda beach is a beautiful deserted beach surrounded by pine trees just west of Fornells and walking distance from Binimel-la, be prepared for wonderful views if you can manage the 20 minute walk.
Son Parc beach is a large white sandy beach perfect for families with young children as the sea is shallow for 20m. Facilities include a beach bar, water sports, and handy parking. Located on the north coast close to Es Mercadal. While you are in Son Parc, take a chance to visit the islands only Golf Course, and play a few holes.
Cala Mesquida beach is a nice cove popular with the locals on a weekend. There are sunbeds and beach bars, and the parking is handy.
Binibequer beach is a small sandy cove with water sports, beach bar, sun beds, and handy parking located just south of Sant Lluis.
Cala Blanca beach is a picturesque beach with plenty of facilities including sun beds, pedalos for rent, beach bars, cafes. Located within a tourist resort in the south of the island. While you are there why not vist K 'n' M bar an english speaking, italian run family bar, for a drink or a bite to eat.
